Skyrim Npc Dark Face Fix
Hi All.I've been having a lot of trouble with this. All the mods I've tried that changes NPCs heads (I've tried one for Mjoll, Serana, and the Beautiful Followers pack) all result in the vanilla heads staying put (i.e. The new faces don't load) and turning dark. I've tried to stick them at the bottom of the load order and tried disabling Amazing Follower Tweaks. Body mods load just fine.I presumed this was the Dark head bug that I've read about, so I tried to pull a mod (the Serana mod from Beautiful Followers) into the creation kit (not sure I did this right) to do the Control F4 trick, but it didn't work. The head didn't look like the mod's one when displayed in the kit, though, so I'm not sure I did it right (I don't know if the mod file name was also Serana).Does anyone have any suggestions?thanks!
Npc Dark Face Skyrim Fix

The ctrl+f4 procedure is the fix. That's how NPC faces are supposed to be done now. If you were to unpack the vanilla BSAs you'd find Bethesda did this for every NPC in the game. The grey-face bug was present only because the export procedure had been broken in mods and was silently fixed with CK 1.5.24. Fix 2, the mod affecting that NPC is not the mod I wanted. This might due to ESP load order issue. Use LOOT to rectify the problem, or in case it is still wrong, arrange it manually in your mod manager. Fix 3, the mod affecting the NPC is correct, but dark face occur. This might due to broken or mis-match texture or/and mesh files. Select NPC entry and press Ctrl+F4. Say yes to export face data. If many vampires have dark heads, also see “100% Working Dawnguard Female Vampire Face Fix” which explains how to copy face textures for all female vampire NPCs in addition to your character.
